The Discovery Series targets diploma-level Bible school students, pastors, and lay people wo sense a call into ministry.
With five content divisions, the series provides a well-rounded education for ministry. Written for use in the classroom, this series baances good scholarship with practical application while also promoting active learning and group discussion.
The series is affordable so that every student can purchase a copy of each text and its corresponding student workbook.
Designed with the African ministry context in mind, this curriculum uses appropriate instructional and applies second language principles in vocabulary and grammar. Africa's Hope plans to provide the Discovery Series in at least 12 of the major languages of Africa. This will enable our national churches to equip and empower the 30,000 untrained ministers on the continent.
THEOLOGY MODEL
This division offers texts related to the literature of the Old Testament, with a focus aimed towards appreciation of its content and historical development and with emphasis on theological themes such as creation, covenants, ethics, and redemption.
This division lists titles in New Testament studies that offer a close examination of the Neww Testament text and themes, while providing foundation principles and tools of interpretation.
This division's goal is to define and defent the major Pentcostal doctrines and apply them to the life of the reader. Doctraines treated related to the Bible, sin, salvation, christian growth, pneumatology, missions, Christoogy, and oschatology.
This division offers texts that enable the readee to design and implement plans or various types of ministries, such as planting new churches, ministering to children, discipling new converts, and expressing compassion to the community.
This division promotes the development of the skills and personal formation that enables personal formation to fulfill the duties of their position. Skills related to administration, counseling, teaching, and preaching are examined, along with the personal growth of leaders and their relationship to their family and church.
THE MINISTRY
The Diploma in Christian Ministry Level 6 qualification contains seven Basic and eight core units of competence. They are listed as follows:
Students can complete one unit of competence at a time and be assessed for certification. One can also enroll for the whole program. Enrollment can either be full time, part time or open distance and e-learning.
Traditionally, churches have placed great value on revivals and special church events where guest speakers are invited and paid for delivering a sermon. While the speaker's message is often insightful and inspiring. Our consultant services for churches entail specific steps designed to identify your needs and tailor a program for you. Our services begin with a review of your present status, a one-on-one meeting with the pastor/bishop, in-service workshops with church leaders and volunteers, and providing written recommendations for real-time application.
